Abstract

Delivery services are of great significance in the commercial market, as they constitute the backbone of economic and commercial development. Iraq is currently considered one of the most prominent countries in providing these services at the local level. The delivery process is a fundamental pillar for the success and smoothness of business operations, as it encompasses all processes that ensure the flow, storage, transport, and delivery of goods and materials to customers in a swift and secure manner. This service has contributed to enhancing private sector activity in transporting goods from one location to another, with the aim of strengthening commercial exchange and achieving comprehensive development. Delivery companies in Iraq face a set of challenges that affect their efficiency and sustainability. Although these services are closely linked to sales contracts, they do not apply to all such contracts. From one perspective, delivery services cannot be envisioned in contracts for the sale of real estate and properties; from another, this service cannot be provided except in sales contracts that include this specific condition. Furthermore, this obligation is not considered one of the traditional obligations. Hence, the importance of this service is evident in our study due to its significant role in marketing strategies through advertisements launched by manufacturing companies, as well as merchants and even small business owners, such as restaurants, clothing stores, electrical appliance shops, and other retail outlets dealing in goods and commodities that touch upon the daily essential needs of the consumer.
